Do you make Keys, in Key Club?

No, we do not. Although the title may be misleading we are KEY students aimed to make a better society. Key Club is a non profit organization that is student led. Key Club is a structured organization that empowers the most dedicated students. Key Club is also the largest service program available for High School students. There are over 30 Districts all over the world. Sunnyside is a club in the New York District. The New York District encompasses over 300 clubs, and the New York District breaks into 28 divisions. Currently Sunnyside is a strong club in Division 8-A. Division 8-A encompasses 12 clubs.

Who are Officers? And how do they become Officers?

Officers are the leaders of the internal clubs. Most Key Clubs have 6 officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, & Webmaster). They each have several different roles, check them out at the club officers page located on the top of this page. They are elected towards the end of each service year, by the club. If you want to run be sure to let an officer know before elections are announced!

How do I become a member of Sunnyside Key Club?

To become a member you must locate the Club Treasurer (Jessica Chui) and pay your $18 dues. There are no school restrictions to join Sunnyside Key Club, unlike other Key Clubs anyone from New York can join! Also Sunnyside is very privileged to be working so closely with their lovely Kiwanis counterparts (Kiwanis is essentially an adult version of Key Club), so join, join, join!

04

What are Key Club meetings, agendas, and minutes?

Sunnyside club meetings are held in the Sunnyside Community building. They generally discuss what is happening in our club, and the best way to find out more about Key Club is by attending meetings! Agendas are a schedule of how the meetings proceed. Key Club minutes are condensed summarized proceedings in the meeting inclusive with the time of every motion, and item in the agenda.
